Dr. Rafat Taher
Dr. Rafat Taher was the former Executive Director of Development and Implementation at InterHealth Canada. He was a general sergeant and critical care physician from University of Alberta in Canada.
In addition, Dr. Taher was the former chairman of Critical Care Department at King Saud University. The department received accreditation by the Canadian Accreditation Council.
As an advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Taher was responsible to activate the Development Delivery Unit by providing support and monitoring progress to different department within the ministry, enhancing project portfolio management and program incubation.Dr. Taher was a Decision Support Unit Director to the Ministry of Health driving policy through evidence, supporting accountability, transforming MOH to a data driven culture, establishing a single source of truth and ministering Health Dashboards. Dr. Taher lead the internal consulting group within the MOH that serves to implement high priority projects in alignment with the Ministry’s strategic direction resulting in sustainable performance improvement across the organization.
